Unlike much of the world that’s been working from home for the past few years, I’ve been doing it for nine years since my oldest was born! Being a part time, work at home parent with a flexible schedule allows me to take on fun opportunities with my kids, including being a parent volunteer for class parties!
This past winter I was a parent volunteer for our winter party and in searching pinterest for a party idea, I came across this paper plate drawing game from Happy Home Fairy. I LOVED the idea but needed to come up with a more holiday neutral theme, so I came up with the Snowman Paper Plate Drawing Game.
I went ahead and created a Printable PDF of the game, which you can grab for FREE here! In it, you’ll see that each player just needs a plain (non coated) paper plate and a pencil or pen.
Everyone puts a paper plate on the top of their head and draws what the host directs them to draw, step by step. They can’t look at what they’re drawing! After reading through all 6 steps, everyone can take a look at their drawings and compare notes on how they did. There’s a point system on the sheet if you want to try to win for bragging rights or special prizes.
We even had the teachers in on the fun and everyone got a laugh at how well they did certain steps. I highly recommend this one for a 5-10 minute game loved by those of all ages!
Consider trying this portrait drawing activity, with free printables, with your teacher as the model!
Check out the other games we played with our family, many of which can be used in a classroom setting!
