The holidays are gone so now it’s time to share the handmade things I made!
Background: Years ago, EK Success had this really adorable line called Bookworks. It was one of those “this plus this plus this equals that” type of lines where you bought the book boards, added the papers to them and created your own mini books.
The line has been long gone and I used up a lot of the coordinating embellishments, but still didn’t find much use for this rather strange color palette in the 8 x 8″ paper pads. While I’m usually not a fan of using whole patterned paper sheets for cards, I thought this was a great way to use up this collection from my stash and make a great coordinated gift.
After collecting a few other stamp and punch embellishments, I went to work creating a set of handmade cards for my mom as a part of her holiday gift…in August. Yep, you may remember last, last August when a hurricane came through the east coast, and I used that downtime held up in the house to craft up a set of handmade cards for my mom. Getting that gift done early worked out so I think I’ve started a new tradition!
Here’s a shot of the card collection. I mixed and matched pieces of the patterned paper, punches edges and stamped phrases. As requested, I gave her a mix of thanks, birthday wishes, congrats, thinking of you and other generic cards that could have multiple uses.
Create your own coordinated gift set using mini paper pads!
