My family didn’t personally have a Sega but I often played one, especially Sonic when I babysat! Styling this party brought back many memories from my high school baby sitting days, with the kid or once they were asleep!

Paint (2) wooden dowels navy blue and set aside to dry. Tip: This is a great step to include the birthday boy or a younger sibling to help! Insert into a scrap piece of foam as the tip will be covered anyway.
Wrap the foam wreath in yellow crepe streamers, using straight pins to secure. Stick a painted wood dowel in the bottom. Tip: add a little hot glue to help hold it.
Open (2) paper fans and peel the adhesive to expose the tape to secure them open. Lay your sonic template on top of one and use a pencil to trace the shape. Cut out the shape to reveal Sonic’s classic spikey head shape.
Adhere Sonic’s face and ear onto the paper fan to create a 3D Sonic head then adhere this onto one of the painted wood dowels.
Cut out the birthday boy’s age onto a piece of yellow cardstock and adhere this onto the other small paper fan. Adhere a painted wood dowel on the bottom.
Place a foam block into the tin bucket. Insert all three decorated wood dowels into the foam. Tip: insert two at an angle so you can see all the components.
Cover the foam with paper shred and place at your party space! Add it as tall centerpieces at your eating station or use as decorative props on your dessert table to make the space more fun! Get inspired with more Sonic the Hedgehog party ideas!
