Just a few weeks ago I shared a fun DIY gift idea of an In Case of Emergency Frame using the New Jersey Lottery fun holiday games.
It’s a fun gift I’m gifting to my father-in-law and father this year since it’s featuring four festive tickets jam packed with over $41 million in prizes! But wait, I’ve got some more tricks up my sleeve for this Christmas!
We are hosting Christmas and on top of the Christmas games we plan to play, I wanted to welcome the adults to the table with a little extra fun! Check out this fun Christmas tablescape idea using paper straws!
DIY Christmas Place Setting Supplies:
- Paper straws
- Lottery Scratch-Off tickets
- Merry Christmas Wishes Tag
- Scissors
- Adhesive (Hot Glue Gun and glue dot)
- Penny
- Bow embellishment, optional
Each paper straw place setting uses 4 straws. Tip: mix and match holiday colors and patterns for more fun!
Keep (2) straws as the full length for the front legs, cut (1) straw ½ inch shorter for the back leg, and cut (1) straw 1.5 inches shorter as the cross piece in front.
Use hot glue to attach the front legs and cross piece, as shown. Tip: a silicon glue mat is a great surface for this craft as the hot glue won’t stick to it!
Once cooled and secured, attach the back leg to finish your paper straw easel. Isn’t it so cute? Repeat and make as many of these as you need for each of your guests at the table
To turn it into a place setting, print my Merry Christmas Wishes tag and use a pen to add their name underneath. Since we’re making this extra special for the adults 18+ at the table with Scratch-Off tickets, I’m attaching a lucky penny to each tag so they will have all the tools they need for Scratch-Off fun!
