Long time readers will know this partnership with The New Jersey Lottery is not a new one for me! This is my fourth year sharing their cute holiday themed tickets as they make the perfect stocking stuffer, small gift or the perfect pieces to create a bigger gift for the 18+ aged friends and family in your life!

This year New Jersey Lottery is introducing 4 new Holiday Scratch-Offs ($1, $2, $5 Happy Holidays, and $10 $1,00,000 Spectacular) that are easy to grab at your local retailers, like 7-11 or Wawa. These games are fun in the moment and, of course, have the potential for a large cash payout!

I love the idea of a gift container that can be used after it helps transport the gift and thought this fun embroidery hoop pocket weather would be the perfect fit!

First, paint your embroidery hoop for a pop of color. This paint color is called Santa red and couldn’t be more appropriate for this fun holiday gift!

Cut out your “Happy Holidays” phrase from iron on vinyl. I used my Cricut machine, but the SVG cut file is available to you free if you have a different machine type.

Fold your piece of patterned fabric in half and use an iron or heat press to apply the iron on vinyl phrase towards the top of the fold.

Once the hoop is dry, lay the inner hoop down on your table and your red fabric piece on top. Lay the patterned fabric halfway on top, as shown, with the fold at the top.

Place the top hoop over the fabric pieces and twist the screw to secure tight. You should now have a fabric pocket in the hoop.

Trim the fabric around the hoop and use hot glue to secure it in back.

Glue fabric trim along top edge of the pocket, decorative holiday pick pieces inside the pocket, and ribbon as hanger at the top.

Your embroidery hoop pocket wreath is complete! Fill the pocket with your assortment of New Jersey Holiday Games for tons of fun! They’re available in several different denominations so you can create the perfect holiday gift in different amounts!

LATEST GRAMS

Hello fellow readers! If you're looking for some r Hello fellow readers! If you're looking for some recommendations for historical fiction reads, here are 5 of my favorites I enjoyed last year that I'd recommend to readers who like this genre (with no spoilers):
.
The Frozen River by Arial Lawhorn – Takes place in the post American Revolution times, narrated by a midwife sharing her challenges in this profession and not being taken seriously but still having people trust her medical authority. It includes a murder and trial, which just reiterates how crazy it was to be a woman back then and their lack of rights!
.
The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel – Like many of her books, this author focuses on the French aspect of WWII, but this time as those who helped forge documents to help Jewish children cross the border.
.
The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Miessner – Follow Susan Whalen who comes to San Francisco in 1906 as a mail order bride only to get into the middle of a complicated life after marrying a man she never met and things she discovers during a nature disaster in her state.
.
The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali – Starts in the 1950s in Iran where we meet two friends and follow their story through the historic time of this country. This fictional read shares more about the culture and limitations of women and those who try to change the government while struggling to maintain friendships.
.
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn – An assortment of female friendships during WWII as they work to break secret codes by the German military and continues to follow their stories through the years.
.
If you have a suggestion on another in this genre, please leave it in the comments so I can add to my TBR!
