When I started the exciting task of designing my wedding invitation suite, my friends flooded me with advice from their experiences.
Most people recommended numbering the RSVP envelopes because despite any bride’s best efforts, some people do not fill in the section that specifies who is actually RSVPing. This way when you get a blank RSVP card back, you check the envelope and see that this card was sent to #18 which corresponds to Aunt Hilda.
The cost of the entire suite can get out of control easily, so I opted out of return envelopes and went for the postcard RSVP. With the majority of my design being white, I didn’t want to ruin it with a crude number in the corner.
But then a coworker suggested the Spy Pen! (Similar!)
This spy pen is a clear ink pen that is uncovered with the use of a black light (which is provided with this set). I was able to number my RSVP discretely without ruining my design. Now I have a great backup system and I am one step closer to being a spy. #Winwin
