It was only a few short months ago that SOTD readers were introduced to Sara, who was expecting a grandchild from her daughter Alyssa, a creative Pinterest fan. Since then Sara has shared with you her explosive gender reveal and sweet and feminine baby shower. Well this baby grew up fast right before your eyes as today she’s here to share baby Harlow’s first birthday party that was appropriately sparkling!

Let’s take a second to finally meet little Harlow.

She was born July 2, so close to the festive July 4th holiday, so Alyssa wanted to do “Sparkler/Sparkle” theme to celebrate her first birthday.
Instead of the traditional red, white, and blue palette she went with the soft pink and grey combo to celebrate.
The main dessert table featured a sparkling silver backdrop and color coordinating desserts, a trend you’ve already seen at our parties!
The main birthday dessert was a three tiered cake with an ombre color pattern, made at the local Shoprite, which sat on a sparkly pedestal.
Amongst the other yummy desserts, we also made cupcakes with “sparklers” on top made with tinsel.
When it came time to sing “Happy Birthday” guests were directed to a table with sparklers and matches to provide a little spark to this celebration!
What would the party be without a cute themed outfit? Harlow was dressed in a pink sparkly dress with sparkly shoes to match and obviously had a great time with family and friends at her first birthday party!
Thanks so much for sharing this adorable party, Sara!
UPDATE: Check out how she celebrated turning two!
