If you’re looking for a way to have your enamel pin collection accessible for pin trading opportunities at softball tournaments, rock one of these pin trading lanyards with the cleave sleeve to display their name and jersey number.

When my daughter’s 10u all star softball team won districts, then sections, then states, we learned there would be a pin trading element to the regional tournament where they’d be able to exchange pins with other states.

Us moms researched a quick and easy way to make this pin exchange accessible so they wouldn’t lose this collection and we determined a DIY pin trading lanyard was the best approach.

Softball Pin Trading Lanyards Supplies:
- Lanyards (available in lots of color options)
- Softball Label Printable FREE FILE!

These lanyards are available in an assortment of colors so I’m sure there’s one available to match your team’s color scheme. They came in a pack of 12 which was the perfect amount we didn’t for this team. I designed this softball ID card that slips right into the clear id sleeve, which you can download FOR FREE from my supply list above. Just write in their name and number after printing!

During tournament down time, these athletes were able to trade their state pin with others states (and those who didn’t have pins traded those trendy decorated clips!) It was an easy way for everyone to keep their collections together and rock their bling at the same time.

Spoiler alert, this team ended up winning both the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern Regional divisions, the highest level you can go to in 10u softball! We are SO proud of all this team did, as they’ve been working together as a team for three years to get to this milestone!

Now that we’re home, these pins and her new rings are hanging on the DIY sports ribbon frame I made a few years back for Custom Picture Frames. You can find the full tutorial for this easy DIY on their blog here.
