Plush Witch Legs Halloween Decor

When it comes to Halloween decor, there’s so many design directions you can go. Modern, vintage inspiration, horror, cutesy or traditional. In this case, I created a set of plush witch legs Halloween decor with a traditional look, perfect to stick into a pot of mums or your favorite plant on the front porch this fall. This DIY twist on a classic Halloween icon is a fun way to welcome trick or treaters this Halloween!

Pool noodles are not just for the pool! I’ve used them in many of my crafts over the years so here’s a Halloween take on this cheap, basic piece of foam!

Plush Witch Legs Halloween Decor Supplies:

Poly-Fil Polyester Fiber Fill
FREE Witch Legs Printable Template
Fabric – black, orange, green, black/white stripes
Embroidery thread and needle
Fabric Scissors
Tailor’s Chalk
Pool Noodle
Wood Dowels

First, cut out the pieces on the witch legs template. Next, trace them onto their coordinating pieces of fabric using Tailor’s chalk to trace the shapes.

Use a serrated knife to cut the pool noodle down the two sizes needed for the witch legs. Cut two long pieces of black and white striped fabric, turn the fabric right side out and sew along the edge. Turn inside out to wrap the pool noodles in this fabric to create the witch legs.

Run a needle and thread down the middle of the green pieces to create a bow. Pull tight to create the icon bow shape, then wrap with the skinner green pieces and sew the back to secure into the a bow.

Pin the shoes pieces right sides in and sew around the outside, leaving the top of the shoe open. Turn right side out, sew the orange bucket and green bow onto place.
