Patriotic Toddler Photoshoot

Holidays & Occasions, Patriotic

When your mom is a party stylist, you get used to lots of things going on in your house: pretty desserts you don’t normally buy, holiday setups that’s shown in the complete wrong time of the year and your room constantly being rearranged for the perfect shot. Last month my girls came home to a patriotic party display set up in Brielle’s room and after doing my shots and cleaning it up, I let them have fun with the props, which I captured as a patriotic toddler photoshoot.

The premise is simple, put on cute red, white and blue dress and you instantly have a patriotic toddler!

Much like our St. Patrick’s Day photoshoot, this one too included props.

They each got a pair of star sunglasses and a mini American flag.

There was no direction just me with a camera and these two with their imaginations.

They are actually reaching up towards the DIY Balloon Arch I had made for a Patriotic Emoji party for the Wholesale Party Supplies blog. I have to tell you, I’m kinda addicted to this balloon arch since it required no helium and the balloon strip was really easy to use. You can see the full tutorial on how I made it on this blog tutorial.

After a few photos, I thought they’d have more fun playing with the balloons so down the arch came.

A new level of fun began. It involved squeezing to try to pop them, kicking them around the room and running to see them follow you with their static cling.

The girls had a blast and this mom suggests to let the kids play with the party props after your next party.

You may just love the photos you capture of your patriotic toddler!
