The Nehil family has a big update! We’re moving!
Surprise! I finally feel like I can breath and let the cat out of the bag! Yes, just yesterday we closed on our new house! And while the photo above shows an Arizona license plate on this U-Haul, rest assured we’re still staying in NJ.
Background: We love our current home as it was the place we literally got engaged in, came home to as a married couple and brought home two precious babies in. But we were outgrowing the space (our future of only one full bathroom and two teenage daughters did NOT sound fun!) and wanted a better school district for our soon to be kindergartner!
We had been looking for a new home for about a year and a half, toying at different locations in the state and different home types. Finally one came to market in the town we loved (still local to where we are now), in the style and layout that our family wants. Our new colonial style house is perfect for us with move in ready conditions but plenty of things we want to update to make our own.
And yes, before you ask, we are also selling our house! We were very blessed with a great realtor and home photographer that helped make our beautiful home sparkle! The house was put under contract within a week of being online and a I wish the new home owners as much happiness in this home as we had in it!
Thanks in advance for tagging along for this journey of our new house! Here’s fair warning that there will be plenty of new posts coming your way on what we learn about the moving process, tips to stage your home to hopefully sell as fast as ours did, and lots of room makeovers and decorating tips! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see more updates! I’m sure I’ll be sharing plenty of behind the scenes fun on my Instagram stories before they ever make it to the blog.
Now excuse me as I get back to packing and pinning new home ideas!
