We are a full on softball family these days! Both my girls played rec softball last spring, my oldest did 8u and 9u all stars and now they are both playing travel softball for 8u and 10u teams! Since it’s Hailey’s first year playing 8u this fall, I decided to make her teammates matching softball hair ribbons and gift them to her teammates with printable hair tie tags I designed!
To create the softball hair ribbons with tag, you’ll need:
- Ribbon (at least 3 colors, but do as many as you wish!)
- Elastic hair tie
- Stapler or glue stick
- Printable softball hair tie tags
- Pencil or pen
Cut ribbons to your desired length. I cut mine between 15-18 inches. I liked the varied length in the pieces so they are not all exact and each are cut with an angle at the edge.
Line them up together and tie a knot around the elastic hair tie.
Print and cut out the hair tie tags. Slide the hair ribbon inside, fold over and secure closed with staple or glue stick.
The front of the printable tag says “Softball hair, don’t care” over a large softball, and the back says “GO TEAM!” with a softball as the “O” and a bat underneath.
Use a pen to personalize the back so they know which teammate gifted it!
Pass out to your friends before a big game so you all have matching hair ties!
These printable hair tie tags are also available for soccer players with the phrase “Soccer Hair, don’t care” on the front!
