When it comes to mantles and fireplaces, the space is never as exciting as it is for the holiday season! Check out the red and white Home for the Holidays DIY Christmas mantle currently sitting in our living room this holiday season!

This living room space has seen some updates in the last 3 years and we’re not done yet!
Here’s what it looked like on moving day, with it’s yucky old carpet and old style ceiling fan.
We’ve made a few updates with hardwood floors that match the rest of our home, a new grey paint color, a new ceiling fan, comfy furniture and accessories. Here’s the space now Christmasized, but come this time next year, we hope this view even more different! We’re planning to add custom built ins to both sides of the fireplace, with cabinets at the bottom and shelves at the top plus add new tile and a hearth around the fireplace itself. None of the less, this is our favorite family hangout space and one that I love to decorate for the season.
And I love nothing more than adding some handmade touches to the fireplace mantle area itself! This year I wanted to, once again, try my hand at one of those fun vinyl and paint acrylic signs as my centerpieces and might I say, I am still hooked!
(you might remember this one I designed for the fall season last year!)
Or the DIY acrylic ornaments I made for that crazy 2020 one!
This year I kept with the home theme and designed this “There’s no place like home for the holidays” design (which you can grab as a free SVG file here) which was applied with a red and red sparkle vinyl.
The piece was painted with white and red acrylic paint as a centerpiece around my red and white themed fireplace mantle.
