As a crafter, I know how long it takes to make some handmade gifts. Items I receive need more than the few minutes of love I can give it, so I’m happy to post these Handmade with Love posts that showcase great handmade cards or gifts I have received.
Literally the day this last Handmade with Love XII: Baby Gifts post went live, I received another beautiful handmade gift for the baby girl! SOTD readers are well aware of my BFF Allie (also known as Alliecat or Owlison) but have heard little mention of her just as creative mom, Karen! I had the pleasure of planning Allie’s Pink Owl bridal shower in April 2012 which was hosted by the sweet Karen. When Allie came for a visit the weekend of my due date (expecting to see a little sweet baby, but instead saw my 40+1week preggo self), she gave me a set of gifts from Karen which included this beautifully crocheted blanket!
I love that it was a new color scheme (white/yellow/green) and crocheted to give a new texture for our little one to lay on!

After our sweet Brielle arrived, we got quite a few surprise packages in the mail! Miss Alliecat herself sent her the first piece of mail addresses solely to Brielle! Inside was this adorable knit pod! She had already given me a cute knit cocoon at my shower but was worried it was a bit on the larger side so she sent me a new smaller style one. (You can find the link to the pattern here at Ravelry).
I used both styles at a newborn photo shoot when she was only 9 days old.

I had hand made the flower accent Brielle wore for her newborn photo shoot, which was based on this same tutorial of the one I made for my wedding. But only days after she arrived home, I received the below gifts from one of my previous Creative Artist Team members from EK Success, Becky. She gave her some adorable little outfits, complete with handmade headbands! I can’t wait to dress her up and put on these flower accents before she learns how to rip them off. :)

Being creative and artistic are characteristics that can run within a family. I hope it does with me and little Bri as much as it does with my friend Liz and her mom Nikki. Between the two of them our beautiful girl received the below four awesome handmade gifts!
First was this custom frame Liz put together with her handy dandy Silhouette electric die cut machine. She created an adorable scene personalized with her name and birthday in the colors that match her room!
Her mom, Nikki, took the same color palette and made this beautiful striped blanket to match her room! (and you know I’m a sucker for anything striped or polka dot!)
Just as Allie had made the adorable knit pods for photo shoots, Nikki also made me this super cute strawberry style pod and matching hat!! OMG how adorable is this?
And finally, Nikki put her sewing skills to good use to make this owl themed bib! Hope the baby girl is a clean eater so she doesn’t mess up this handmade creation too much. :)

I also can’t forget this beautiful handmade papercraft creation that we received. Below is a beautiful embossed card below from our longtime family friend Pat.
She’s been featured on SOTD often for all her beautiful handmade card creations!
Thanks for thinking of our little peanut all!
