As a crafter, I know how long it takes to make some handmade gifts. Items I receive need more than the few minutes of love I can give it, so I’m happy to post these Handmade Gifts posts that showcase great handmade cards or gifts I have received. I love my creative friends. Elizabeth (yep previous guest poster, long time coworker, handmade gift giver and friend) sent Hailey the most adorable addition to her Under the Sea Nursery - this fabric pennant garland! It's the perfect length to hang on her curtains for another feminine pop in a blue room. I LOVE the mix of patterns and how they perfect go with Hailey's room! Thank you again, Elizabeth! PS stay tuned for an upcoming post with the full nursery reveal! A few days before Mother's Brielle came home with a wrapped gift for me from daycare. She helped me open it that morning and showed me how she painted it "all by myself." It included a cute handprint card (which of course she had to put her hand on to show me it was hers) but the inside was even cuter. It contained a cute little poem (I heart ABCB rhyming poems!) that talked about the handprint. Hopefully you can read the copy here and use it for a handprint gift in the ... Continue Reading...

The dynamic duo is back at it again! You guessed it, Handmade Gifts Feature regulars, Liz and her mom Nikki, have come through ONCE AGAIN with beautiful handmade creations for one of my daughters! You may remember after I had Brielle, Liz, a great friend and loyal Spot of Tea Designs follower, stalked my posts about her nursery and saw it in person at my shower. When she came to visit my little peanut, she gifted us this beautiful personalized frame to match her room: Liz didn't want Hailey to feel left out so she worked her crafty magic and came up with another ADORABLE frame that perfectly matches her nursery: She told me she even took the photo of the paints I chose as my inspiration and matched up cardstock to them in the store. Bonus points for going the extra mile, Liz! It's OBVIOUS that Liz gets her creative handmade talents from her adorably sweet mom, Nikki. Nikki has not only given my girls some beautiful handmade pieces over the years (like the ... Continue Reading...
Handmade Gifts: Feature #25
As a crafter, I know how long it takes to make some handmade gifts. Items I receive need more than the few minutes of love I can give it, so I’m happy to post these Handmade Gifts posts that showcase great handmade cards or gifts I have received. Here's one of my favorite gifts this holiday - a handprint calendar from Brielle! She came home with his adorable crafted book from daycare days before the holiday and was so happy to show it to us on Christmas morning. Each page includes a seasonally appropriate handprint or footprint painted design, which you already know we LOVE in this house! Allie has done it again! Made ultra cute and warm knit hats for my girls! Remember this one she made for Brielle's first winter? If someone saw that photo I'd bet they'd think it WAS Hailey but no that's Brielle and I can't wait to don this pastel print on her sister. Or what about this one Allie made last year? If you follow me on instagram, you'd see Brielle been sporting it a lot this season! This year Allie gave the girls two new hats with different styles, of which Brielle has grown a liking to both. Even if they are a bit on the bigger side, this girl loves a nice slouchy hat (hipster in the making?) and ... Continue Reading...
