With Frozen 2 hitting theaters it’s hard to escape the Frozen fever that has surrounded everything everywhere you go! All the stores are stocking up on aisles of toys, games, crafts and, of course, party supplies! I had the honor of styling another fun party with this theme featuring new products for the Frozen sequel and made some desserts to go with it!
First up, I started with this basic grocery store cake to make an Elsa snow globe with the help of Wilton Color Mist, chocolate sixlets, candy melts, a glass globe and a mini Elsa figurine.
First up, that icing design had to go. I’m just not a fan of the rope icing style they add to the cakes at this grocery store. I used my spatula to add a little rough texture around the cake.
I had taken out my blue and purple color mist but ultimately decided on just the purple so Elsa would stand out. Tip: spray outside or in a protected space as it has a wide spray (and does stain your hands upon first application!)
Add your plastic Elsa figurine right on top and place the glass globe over it. Surround the rim of the globe and the bottom of the cake with chocolate sixlet candies.
I drew a snowflake on top with white chocolate, which of course won’t be eaten but adds a little decoration. I also added a few snowflake sprinkles I had in my sprinkle collection for a special winter look.
Display your cake on a cake stand and it becomes part of the party decor!
Next up are these Olaf donuts!
You can download the free prinable to cut out these Olaf heads and tape to a toothpick for your dessert of choice for your Frozen party! Add to a stack of donuts (or a mini donut and donut hole stack) or a white sugar covered cupcake! Surround with some Hershey’s hugs candies since Olaf loves warm hugs!
These would make cute treats for a winter themed party for friends!
Or if you want the non themed Olaf approach, I also have these Snowman heads you can use for winter desserts!
You can see my little Anna and Elsa hamming it up in front of this DIY Birch Tree backdrop I painted to fit the new movie theme! It’s created with black paint on rolls of white paper and hung with painter’s tape. Find the full step by step tutorial HERE!

Not sure what happened there but I think I fixed it! Try again!

How big is the globe? 4”?

The mouth was about 3.5 inches and the total height was 5 inches. It was a smallish figurine I fit inside. Tag me if you make it!
