Put a ruler or tape measure in front of a child and they’re bound to roam around the house to measure everything they see. Use this curiosity and yearning to be learning into a fun activities this holiday season. Download and print this fun measurement activity sheet and send them on a hunt to finish it with their Elf on the Shelf.

This printable measurement activity sheet is all holly jolly themed with a red and green color scheme. It’s the perfect printable to leave one morning from your Elf on the Shelf!

Kids (or parents) must first cut out the printed ruler and activity card and go around the home finding the items listed and measuring them in inches.

Note: I’ve updated the file to remove my URL so feel free to give to the kids as is!

Children can use a pencil to note the measurement to complete the card. This is a great breakfast invitation or save it for after school to help get the wiggles out while still learning.

This is just one of the many free printables you can pair with your Elf on the Shelf this December.

This is part of my “Elf on the Shelf Ideas for a 6 year old” schedule which is now available!
