You have seen little glimpses of Brielle’s nursery in previous posts, but today I’m finally back to show you the full reveal of her pink, white and grey nursery!

Background
When we moved into our house and started painting rooms, we chose a soft grey as the neutral for this room, which was previously our guest room. When we found out we were expecting, I decided to keep the light grey for the wall color, knowing I could go with a white/pink/grey for a girl’s room or teal/green/grey for a boy’s room. Once we knew it was going to be on the pinker side of things, I got to work to mix and match different pieces from different stores to create a room for our little bundle!
Upon entering her room, you’ll find this “Brielle” name garland, as made by Penny! And now, next to that, you can find her DIY Portable Growth chart!
When you first walk into the room, on the right hand corner is my rocking/feeding area. I knew I wanted a rocking chair of sorts but didn’t want to spend the $$ on an expensive, large one. This one is sold at Babies R Us but we bought it at Walmart.com with free in store pick up.
Now on the chair you will find this DIY Stenciled pillow I made with a butterfly button collage!
Next to it, you’ll find a “dream” fabric bin that was a shower gift from my friend Jamie that was filled with lots of goodies! I didn’t have room for a side table so this bin comes in handy to keep water, snacks and other things to entertainment while feeding.
Above the rocking chair are two white shelves with a few color coordinated doodads scattered about. I included two frames with two of my favorite pictures from our maternity shoot, a Trembles the monkey stuffed animal (which contains a tag attached – the first thing I ever had designed when I was a graphic design intern post college), Derek’s Epcot dragon mini bank (circa 1982), two little piggy banks given to us by Derek’s coworkers when we got married and two other picture frames with printed designs I created.
Anita’s beautiful handmade mobile hangs by these shelves, which is something baby girl can look at as she feeds!
UPDATE: Since this original post, we have also added the DIY headband hanger made from an 11×14 picture frame, as seen above. (with the cutest photo bomber)
This cuddly kangaroo was a shower gift from my friend Brittlyn (thanks again, Gouda). It now sits in her crib when she’s not playing in it. The picture on the above right is a slow up on one of the signs I designed to fill the frame on her shelf. With the gray color palette, I played off the “You make me happy when skies are gray” quote from “You are my sunshine”. The other sign says “Daddy’s little girl.”
Baby girl’s furniture is all white to match the rest of the room. Her gray/white polka dot and grey/white chevron stripe sheets coordinate well with the white breathable bumpers, chevron crib skirt and handmade quilt from Debbie that hands over her crib. Again, the blanket is not used when she’s sleeping inside!
Continue along this wall and you’ll find an 8 cube bookshelf. Amongst other things, it contains all the books she received at my shower, with personal messages written inside!
I had a really hard time finding fabric bins that would fit inside the cubes, but luckily came across these ones from Target that were a perfect fit! Inside you’ll find lots of hidden baby accessories for the future! On top, you’ll find her yarn wrapped lamp and a clock.
My mom gave this to me after my shower. This and the little bunny figurine were both items that were in my nursery 31 years ago!
Since taking these photos, I moved the diaper cake my sister made me for my shower and put this beautiful personalized frame made by my friend, Liz!
I wanted a place to keep her toys out of sight down the road and was happy when I came across this storage bench that could do just that! On top you’ll find my Vera Bradley diaper bag, courtesy of my sister-in-law and new mommy Lauren!
In the left hand corner you’ll find the painted canvases I made along with the bear bank that lived in my room since childhood! It was made by my Aunt Laura and is something I brought with me to each apartment and home growing up. It will now keep change for baby girl so feel free to add a few coins if you come to visit! :)
Her closet is of course full of my diaper/wipe stockpile and a plethora of adorable girl’s clothes! Her changing table includes a pretty white and grey bin containing all the diapering supplies. It sits next to three metal containers that were used for decorating supplies at the onesie crafting station at my baby shower. They were a perfect fit in this room so thank you again, Alliecat!
Above her diaper changing station, you will find the yarn wrapped letters I made spelling out her name. It will hopefully give her something to look at during those quick feedings and also personalize her room so she knows it’s all hers!
Thanks for coming on a tour of our little girl’s space!

This is an absolutely beautiful nursery, it’s obvious you’ve put so much love into the room to make it perfect. Ours is still a storage space with a cot in it – really need to do something with it at some point and your post has inspired me to start to tackle it :) xxx
