Those who follow my blog know this is not my first lottery ticket themed gift idea. In fact I’ve shared 7 years of Christmas lottery ticket gifts, plus lots of others using punny printables which you can find here. When I was put in charge of creating a gift basket for our Little League opening day I immediately thought to make a lottery ticket basket where everyone has a chance to be an even bigger winner!
Baseball Lottery Ticket Gift Basket Supplies:
- Scratch Off Lottery Tickets
- Basket or Bucket
- Floral Foam
- Paper Straws, Wood Dowels or Skewers
- Paper Shred
- Cardstock
- Softball Flame Cupcake Toppers SVG Cut File
- Strike It Rich Lottery Ticket Holder
To make this gift basket a little extra, I create a few softball and baseball shaped accents to stick in the basket. I pulled my flaming softball cupcake toppers, but simplified it by removing one of the flame layers and hand drawing on the stitches vs having them cut.
Attach the lottery tickets to the straws using a low tack tape. Make sure to avoid any of the barcodes or numbers at the bottom which are used to claim any winnings.
To make it even MORE special I added my “Hope you strike it rich” printable lottery ticket holder in the front. Tip: Make sure you get a lottery ticket that fits in these printables. The taller one fits a 4″ tall ticket, which is often a $2 or possibly $5 ticket.
Fill the bucket with floral foam and cover with paper shred. Insert the paper straws with lottery tickets and the flaming softballs or baseball attached.
Put this lottery ticket holder right in front to bring on the baseball/lottery theme!
Should you make a basket like this, I’d love if you tagged me so I could see yours styled!
