This isn’t the first time you’ve seen this space in my home.

A few years back I shared this space as a Preschooler’s Mermaid Bedroom Tour.

The theme and many of the pieces of wall decor crossed over from her Under the Sea nursery I created for her in our last house. But she was sick of the blue, more of a pink girl, needed a bigger bed for her as a growing girl and just wanted a little update in style and function for what she’s into now.

You can scroll to the bottom for links to any of the furniture components shared but here are some things to highlight. This is a full size bed I got on Wayfair for a CRAZY price! It has a plush headboard and is well made!

We are a big picture family so I love having multiple places for her to display her favorites. These fairy lights include photo clips so she can have both a little lighting in the dark but also a way to showcase her friends, family and apparently, favorite drawings about penguins.

Over her one taller dresser is a slew of Squishmallows as the love for this collection is still going strong. We also hung this DIY sports medal holder that has now holds both metals and pins exchanged at her all star tournament.

Her tall dresser also has a dedicated sports trophies, plaques, memorabilia, and game ball area. We display the game balls using these small acrylic discs to stop them from rolling.

The new addition as far as furniture goes, is this light up vanity which is one of her favorite spots in the room. It has plenty of storage both in the vanity itself, on top and even in the bench seat and has several settings for different light warmths. There’s a outlet on the side for both regular plugs and USB making it the perfect vanity to keep by her bed when she’s older.

But yes, we still kept the growth chart I had painted for her nursery as she’s still growing and we want to capture it all!

We also left the door hanger I had painted and crafted for her nursery and it still looks as perfect as the day I painted it years ago!
