Trigger Tuesday is a week or two week challenge hosted by Cath Edvalson of Paper Crafts Magazine on their Moxie Fab World blog. It is meant to inspire creative artists in color palette, composition, texture and design by one photo alone.

If you know me at all, you know that with papercrafts, I love dots and stripes. They are two basics which are easy to add to any theme!
So I was totally on board and I came up with this:
I have this thing about cardmaking. I’ll only use scraps of paper or papers I wouldn’t use for my own scrapbooking.
Well this falls into the second category. The papers are these high gloss ones that have crazy prints on the other side that have always turned me off. But for this Trigger Tuesday, the colors worked great to create a simple striped card.
When I ripped them out of the book they came in, I actually liked the frayed binding edge and used it as a texture on the card! Add a little chipboard frame and an OLD Jolee’s sticker and it’s another male birthday card (which are hard to create, aren’t they?)
