Come check out an adorable Tea for Two themed birthday party!
Readers will remember sweet Harlow right? When her mom, Alyssa was pregnant she set up fireworks to reveal her gender. Then her first birthday was celebrated as a sparkly event. Well Miss Harlow just recently celebrated her 2nd birthday and Sara (Harlow’s grandma) is back to share the fun “tea for two” event they held! You know I love me some tea icons!
The invitation was designed by Pixel Perfection Party on Etsy, and included a traditional mix of lace accents, stacked tea cups and floral designs. This modern vintage feel continued throughout the party within the decorations!
We decorated the children’s table with a very Victorian look. Paper doilies served as chargers with mix and match floral paper plates on top. Plastic cups and a bouquet of flowers finished the table.

The food itself was set up as a buffet table.
Half the table was “sweet” and the other half “savory”.
We served all the types of finger foods you see at a Tea Party.
We had cookies, mini muffins, small sandwiches, and not surprising, cucumbers with cream cheese and chives.
Just like at her first birthday party, our local Shoprite came through with a beautiful floral cake and one of our ceramic teapots on top!
Of course, there was plenty of tea and sweet drinks, including lemonade for the kids.
Several stations were set up with more hints of tea drinkware, lace and florals.
We played games including a Tea Party Bean Bag Toss game and a scavenger hunt where the children had to find the cups and plates to put together a tea party.
We also had coloring pages with a teapot theme.
To say thank you, guests received multi-colored chocolate lollipop favors.
How sweet was this party??
