Paper Crafted Baby Shower Cake Topper

All pregnant moms deserve an afternoon to be pampered and be the center of attention. If you’re planning to throw a baby shower to celebrate the sweet momma and her bundle to be, dress up your cake with a pretty cake topper made by you! Grab the free SVG file to create this floral baby shower cake topper for your special momma-to-be!

I’ve been wanting to try the rolled paper flower technique for a while now and am happy that I finally found the perfect time to give it a whirl!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock (Dark Pink, Light Pink, Gold, and Green)
  • Lollipop sticks or paper straws
  • Hot Glue
  • Tweezers
  • ZIG Glue pen
  • Cricut Maker
  • Baby Shower Topper SVG file

Cut out all the pieces with your Cricut. I used my Maker machine, but you can also use an Explore Air 2.

I used a gold foil to give some nice shimmer. Tip: The spatula helps slide all these pieces easily off the mat after you cut it.

Use the tweezers to grab the edge of the paper flower. Roll it tightly towards the center.

Let it unroll slightly to the size you desire. Flip it over and add hot glue in the center then press the little flap down to secure.

Flip back over and roll the petals outward slightly to create the flower shape.

Use the ZIG glue pen to adhere the “sweet baby” gold cutout onto the light pink cardstock. Adhere the leaves and pink flowers, as shown.

Flip over and adhere the lollipop sticks on the bottom using hot glue.

Insert the cake topper into a store bought or home made cake for the perfect baby shower party accessory!

Tips to using a t-shirt ruler guide: - Press your Tips to using a t-shirt ruler guide:
- Press your shirt first to get out any wrinkles and moisture
- Lay down your tshirt ruler at the top neck
- Lightly fold your vinyl piece in half to find the center and center it on the guide
- REMOVE the guide before your place your press cloth and heat
