It’s summer and the kids are home looking to be entertained and creative. Cross both things off the list at once and create a no sew pillow kids craft project using color yards of fleece, a double knotting technique and a pillow insert!

This no sew pillow kids craft is such a fun project as it doesn’t take a lot of time, can still be done while gabbing with your friends and has a useful outcome. (My favorite category of kids crafts as I often hate when the thing they make now has to collect dust on a shelf!)

No Sew Pillow Supplies:
- Fleece fabric
- Crafter’s Choice Basic Pillow Form
- Fabric Scissors
- Ruler
- Chalk

Lay your fleece fabric down flat, with the preferred front side face down. Use a ruler and chalk to draw a square shape, allowing 4-5 inches larger then the pillow on all four sides. In the case of this 12 x 12″ accent pillow, I drew a 22 x 22″ square. I love this small pillow choice as it makes a great spot to rest your head but doesn’t take up the whole bed. Fairfield World makes lots of other sized pillows if you’re looking for a bigger craft!

Cut away the four corners of excess material, as shown. These are 5 x 5″ squares I’ve cut away.

Use this as your template and lay it on top of another piece of fleece fabric and repeat the above steps so you have 2 fleece pieces to create your no sew pillow. Tip: Make sure the “right side” you want seen after assembling is facing out on both sides.

Cut 1″ strips on each side, as shown.

Lift the top layer and lay the pillow form in between. Place the second layer back on top. Pair the top and bottom strips on the end and tie two knots to secure. Repeat this on each of the corners to keep the pillow form from moving around.

Now comes the fun. Take your time to repeat the double knots with each of the top and bottom pieces.

This no sew pillow kids craft would make a great project for a sleepover, cousin get together, camp craft station or for anyone looking for a new bed accessory this summer. Let the kids pick their fabric patterns of choice and make a creative accessory for their bedroom.

This kids craft project is very tween friendly as they can certainly create a double knot with each of the paired pieces. This hands on craft helps keep them off their phone and entertained for a short time which is always a win win at this age!
