Last year I got really into reading and saw my kids enjoy their slew of good books too. It inspired me to design a book themed Valentine since our schools don’t allow them to exchange any edible items.
I found this set of 30 colorful magnetic bookmarks on Amazon which works great for their class sizes of 26 and 27. I mean, even teachers could use some more bookmarks, right? These are all 0.75″ x 2.375″and the perfect size to slip in a good book.
Grab these “You’re #1 in my book” printables from my shop which has 4 coordinating designs on one 8.5×11″ PDF sheet. You could, of course, use any magnetic bookmarks that are 0.875″ wide.
Simply print, trim to size, and use a craft knife to cut the hole for the bookmark. Open the magnetic bookmark and slide through the hole to secure on the printed tag.
Fun fact: most of my Valentine designs do not include a “to” area, but have blank space to do so, if you wish. I’ve been told by teachers in the past that they don’t prefer to have students address them TO a person as they often just randomly pass them out in Valentine bags etc. I do, however, often add a little heart indicator on the bottom where the giver can sign their name.
Those looking to get a little extra can always gift an actual book along with this Valentine tag for their special someone!
Tag me if you end up using these for your classroom this February!
