Klondike Bars, a Perfect Summer Treat and GIVEAWAY #IC #AD [CLOSED]

in Crafts & DIY, Edible Food Crafts

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Klondike. I received free product coupons to facilitate my review as well as compensation for my participation.

I’ve always been a fan of Klondike bars, but the Plain Jane in me always went for good old Original Vanilla. It’s delicious and always enjoyable!

Klondike Stickless Ice Cream Bars = A perfect summer treat (especially for pregnant women!) @KlondikeBar #AD #IC | spotofteadesigns.com

When I was recently informed that their classic chocolatey coated and ice cream loaded stickless bars have expanded to a full collection of 12 delicious flavors, I knew we had to check that out!  I mean, come on! If there’s one stereotype I know to be true right now it’s that pregnant women love ice cream! :)

Derek came with me to the grocery store where he had free rein to choose a sampling to enjoy at home. He was like a kid in a candy store, having a hard time choosing between Heath, REESE’S, Mint Chocolate Chip, Krunch, Caramel Pretzel, OREO, Dark Chocolate, Rocky Road, Double Chocolate, Neapolitan, Cookie Dough Swirl, and Original. Packages kept coming in and out of our cart as he couldn’t decide which one he’d want to try more and which ones would be “different” enough to sample their full collection of flavors.

Eventually we chose the above 4 choices of the classic stickless bars and threw in a box of their Klondike Kandy Bar, just for kicks. Unfamiliar with the Klondike Kandy Bars? They’re a perfect combo of the ice cream filled dessert with a chocolately Klondike shell but include other mouth-watering candy bar goodness. We sampled the Caramel & Peanuts flavor, but they also carry Fudge Krunch, Cookies & Cream and a Mint Fudge Cookie variety.

When my parents visited last weekend for an early Father’s day get together, we pulled out our collection of Klondike bars for dessert, but decided to do a little taste testing. I grabbed a few varieties and a serrated knife and got to work splitting up bite sized samples.

The sampling worked out well, except it left some only enjoying two parts of the Neapolitan flavor with each bite. I knew who were the strawberry lovers so I made sure they got those sample pieces. While enjoying I heard my dad comment how he didn’t realize they had so many flavors out in the market now, since, he too, was an Original Vanilla lover!

Since Brielle had been a good girl that afternoon, she was even treated to a few taste testing bites from daddy’s plate. The verdict? Everyone seemed to love the Krunch flavor best but the Caramel & Peanuts Kandy Bar was a close second due to the extra caramel goodness.

Find 6-pack Klondike Bars and 4-pack Klondike Kandy Bars in grocery stores nationwide. They’re available with an MSRP of $3.99, but if you’re lucky like me, you’ll find great deals right now to stock up for summer desserts! Learn more about the full collection of Klondike Bars on their website, Facebook, or Twitter.

I like Klondike’s Reese’s flavor – I’ve only tried that one and the original. Would love to try more. :)

It would be a hard decision between the Oreo and Reese’s. I would probably stand in the aisle wavering back and forth until I was asked to leave by security.

I guess I haven’t been paying attention in the ice cream aisle for some time. I had no idea they had any flavor other than original. If I can find it, I’d try Carmel Pretzel or Resse’s Peanut Butter Cup…. :)

5 Tips to Make Shell Canvases like this: 🐚 Draw ou 5 Tips to Make Shell Canvases like this:
🐚 Draw out a stencil of your preferred shape. It's optional to paint the shape itself, but even a rough pencil line will keep you on task
🐚 Use strong glue and a lot of it! I used E6000 glue and ended up having to get more than what you see here.
🐚 Flip the shells over! There are some cool colors on the insides that may match better than the top side.
🐚 Clean and dry the shells thoroughly. Sorry, but I have no tips about this process as my mom had these ones for year from past trips, but you don't want some smelly shells hanging in your home!
🐚 Don't skip on those little shells as those minis are perfect to fill in the gaps of the collages.

Hello fellow readers! If you're looking for some r Hello fellow readers! If you're looking for some recommendations for historical fiction reads, here are 5 of my favorites I enjoyed last year that I'd recommend to readers who like this genre (with no spoilers):
.
The Frozen River by Arial Lawhorn – Takes place in the post American Revolution times, narrated by a midwife sharing her challenges in this profession and not being taken seriously but still having people trust her medical authority. It includes a murder and trial, which just reiterates how crazy it was to be a woman back then and their lack of rights!
.
The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel – Like many of her books, this author focuses on the French aspect of WWII, but this time as those who helped forge documents to help Jewish children cross the border.
.
The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Miessner – Follow Susan Whalen who comes to San Francisco in 1906 as a mail order bride only to get into the middle of a complicated life after marrying a man she never met and things she discovers during a nature disaster in her state.
.
The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali – Starts in the 1950s in Iran where we meet two friends and follow their story through the historic time of this country. This fictional read shares more about the culture and limitations of women and those who try to change the government while struggling to maintain friendships.
.
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn – An assortment of female friendships during WWII as they work to break secret codes by the German military and continues to follow their stories through the years.
.
If you have a suggestion on another in this genre, please leave it in the comments so I can add to my TBR!
