As a crafter, I know how long it takes to make some handmade gifts. Items I receive need more than the few minutes of love I can give it, so I’m happy to post these Handmade with Love posts that showcase great handmade cards or gifts I have received.
Each Christmas season I always look forward to getting cards in the mail! This year was no different, however, I did notice that most are leaning towards the easier route of doing photo cards instead of some whom used to do handmade creations. I don’t blame them and I’d be a hypocrite if I said I didn’t do the same thing! This was the first year I didn’t design my own Christmas cards, as we decided to instead send out the Wedding Thank You cards during this time with a holiday message to those who attended, and a photo card with others I’m still in touch with.
However, there were 2 brave souls who did create a handmade greeting so I’d like to highlight their talents in today’s post!
This beautiful card was from Handmade with Love regular, Pat! Pat pays attention to the composition and texture when it comes to her handmade creations. Once again you’ll notice Pat’s beautiful technique of coloring a stamped image that she layered with embossed papers and a card base. Thanks again Pat!

The above card is made by my friend Mary’s husband, Jim! Jim’s a cartoonist by trade so his recreation of their animal filled home in a Brady Bunch type setting is a perfect example of this loving, playful couple! (In case you were wondering, some of the animals are their sugar gliders!)
