Wedding Photos | Four Year Wedding Anniversary

in Wedding & Engagement

Today is our four year wedding anniversary! Yep! Four years ago today I became a Mrs to a great guy who is now an awesome daddy. To honor this special day, I wanted to share some wedding photos that I never shared on these pages and give them another view!

Note: Photos on this post (minus the last one) were all taken by our photographer, Brad Ross, whom I HIGHLY recommend to any Jersey bride! Learn more about my experience with him and his assistant in my South Jersey Wedding Vendor Review post.

Since we are not a traditional couple (we lived together and even bought a house together before getting married), we didn’t stick to the “bride can’t see the groom before the wedding tradition.”

Before the wedding we took reveal photos, where he snuck up behind me and the moment of first looks were captured on camera.

We then took our couple photos and group photos to get them out of the way and make sure everyone could enjoy the cocktail hour.

We found this park near our venue which included a few different photo op areas including this old historic house.

I love the brickwork but also the pop of red in the shutters and door! (PS tutorial on how I made my wedding hairpiece here!)

We kept our bridal party small and are happy to report that four years later these are still the people we are closest to!

It’s funny to see this family shot and know that in our small immediate family, there are actually 6 more people that are missing here! (Though Logan is actually in Mel’s belly there as she was 14 weeks pregnant!)

Spotofteadesigns.com Wedding, photographed by Brad Ross Photography - best man's speech

Knowing that I was a big scrapbooker all these years, Frank, my brother-in-law, had such a creative best man’s speech that required his wife’s help. He made up this story that included fake scrapbook pages made by Derek that he blew up to show everyone with a story to go along with the pages. It was hilarious and this “Magic Derek” fake scrapbook page was just one example of the pages he put together for a memorable speech!

As you can imagine, I also crafted up lots of pieces for the wedding, including this “Cards” garland that hung in Derek’s guitar case.

And I turned an old copy of Gone With the Wind (which I’m named after) into a ring box.

I designed custom beer koozies as wedding favors. It’s fun to go to people’s houses and see them as part of their collection!

Did you notice in the above pictures that all the men in our bridal party (and even our dads) wore matching black and white Converse shoes?

Once we were married, I entered the reception in a pink pair! Ladies – it’s a great idea as these were the most comfortable wedding shoes ever! Derek and I have decided that we’ll wear our wedding shoes every year on our anniversary and I plan to do so tonight!

Here we are 4 years later! Thank you, readers, for walking down memory lane with me.

And thank you, Derek for 4 crazy fast happy years! Looking forward to many more!
