Long time readers may remember my brother-in-law has been actively completing lots of room makeovers and updates to his home. It’s been over a year and a half since we’ve seen one of his awesome creations but I’m happy to announce the streak is over! Welcome to Frank’s family theater room reveal!
When Frank and Lauren, my sister-in-law, moved into their home, they had an unfinished basement. Frank had big plans for this space and has done an amazing job with the makeover. You remember the basement bar right?
Modern and classy. This was one end of the basement, there’s a whole family room in the middle and on the other end is a set of white double doors. Open them to find this – the family theater room:
A large, plush sectional hangs in the back, complete with large pillows to support you when sitting up or laying down watching your favorite flick.
A large fabric ottoman is in center to rest your feet or for more room for guests.
This distressed tray is a great spot to place drinks or snacks!
Movies are projected from the overhead projector (complete with a ceiling outlet) onto this HUGE screen!
It’s 110” diagonal and has a reverse picture frame boxing (or sunken picture frame). Frank completed all the wood work around the room himself cuz he’s a handy guy like that!
And because I always love to share a before and after, check out what the space looked before and what it is now:
Resources:
