One great thing about bolts of Oly*Fun is that there’s lots of material to create lot of crafts! The green and orange bolts seen in this craft were leftover from my St. Patrick’s Day fabric chain backdrop and stamped table runner from Thanksgiving so they’re worth the investment for so many seasonal ideas!
The other thing is how easily it cuts, how well it holds a stitch and how it doesn’t fray! I was able to whip these carrots for my Easter decor in no time!

Fabric Carrot Easter Decor
- Oly*Fun Fabric – Clover, Kiwi, Orange Crush
- PolyFil Polyester Fiber Fill
- Fabric Carrot Template
- Scissors
- Needle and Embroidery Thread (green, orange)
- Scissors
- Chalk
- Straight Pins
- Hemp Cording or Ribbon
- Wood dowel or pencil (to help push the batting in the cone shape)

First, print the Fabric Carrot Template and cut out the two pieces.
Trace these shapes on the coordinating bolts of Oly*Fun Fabric. I used both colors of green for some variety and traced them with chalk as it’s easy to brush off and remove.

Overlap the green leaf area slightly and use straight pins to secure. Sew a running stitch along this seam but DON’T knot the end. You’ll be pulling this thread to close your carrot in a later step.
Fold the carrot in half with the wrong side facing out. Sew along the triangular orange shape using orange embroidery thread and a running stitch.

Flip the carrot shape inside out and use the wood dowel or pencil help push the point of the carrot cone shape out.

Insert PolyFil into the carrot shape. You can put in as little or as much as you want but I preferred a lot for this Easter decor so it would sit nicely on my shelf.
Fill to the top of the orange area. Once full, pull the green thread to close the top of the carrot. Now you can tie a knot on the end of the green thread.
If desired, wind hemp around the neck of the green leaf and tie a knot.

Create additional carrots! They look adorable in a basket as part of your Easter decor or as a stack of three near your bunny and egg decor.
