Brielle loves paint crafts. I love handmade cards. Hailey loves…smiling. (give her a break, she’s only 6 months. She’ll be up to speed soon!) With Easter coming, I knew we had to merge all three loves for another cute craft to send to family and friends. Thus, here’s our Chick Footprint Easter Card!
First we collected our supplies and set up our tripod and wireless remote. Brielle has become my new assistant when it comes to this setup and I’m completely ok with that.
First the tickle with the sponge brush…
Then the footprint. Squish! She’s a pro at this!
After they dried it was Hailey’s turn. If you remember from our Valentine’s Day Footprint craft, the girl could’ve cared less what we were doing and was all about the newspaper floor covering. Not this time.
This time those cute little toes felt the tickle of the sponge brush and they kept curling up as we painted. Brielle and I were giggling at that.
She also was very aware of the camera as it made a clicking noise (or continuous clicking noise since you can see someone has control of the button).
Brielle and I were then in charge of completing the cards after the footprint was complete. She used punches, scissors and a glue stick to add the accessories while I doodled a message. Tip: Cut a star punch to make really cute chick feet!
I know there are no bunnies on here but I always loved the punniness (is that a word?) of “Hoppy” vs “Happy” for this holiday so I went with it.
And there they are! Our 2 cute chicks.
If you plan to create these design, please tag me or email me! I also love to see reader’s versions of our designs and would love to feature some in this year’s Reader’s Feature!
