If you’re looking for a group Halloween costumes that takes little time and is on budget, consider putting together some Dalmatians and Firefighters t-shirts using red and white t-shirts, heat transfer vinyl and black stickers.

Along with my Cricut crafty besties, we’ve done ALOT of Group Halloween costumes for my daughters softball teams. But our FIRST one was a bunch of Dalmatians for their 8u team. We thought, what’s so hard about cutting a bunch of different sized black dots and heat pressing them onto shirts? Well I’ll tell ya.

When you don’t have a large heat press machine, like my new Auto Heat Press 2, you have to press each shirt at least 4 times per side in order to cover it all with the dots! It doesn’t sound like a lot but at 30 seconds per press with a manual heat press times 8 areas is too much time when you have 22 shirts to do!

This time around, the team moms decided to go a quicker route and I added the jersey numbers on the backs of which shirts and let the kids add the dots with some super sticky sticker sheets.

Dalmatians Halloween Costume Supplies:
- White T-shirt
- Dalmatian Stickers
- Red Heat Transfer Vinyl
- HTVront Auto Heat Press 2
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut Basic Tools

If you’re creating this Dalmatians group Halloween costume for a team, first cut and heat press their jersey number onto the back of the shirt. I was luckily able to break out my HTVRont Auto Heat Press 2 to make this process much faster! The large 15″ x 15″ area of the heat plate provides plenty of space to add these large numbers on the back. See what I love about this machine in this video on my instagram.

Like many of our costumes in the past, like the Tie Dye Hippies or the goory zombies, we let the kids do this next part. Everyone got three sheets of the Dalmatians stickers, letting them decorate their shirts to make their ultimate Dalmatian look.

Note: We knew this would be a one day wear as a one day tournament. These stickers were a slightly dimensional foam feel with a sticky back which likely won’t do well in the wash. This is a great alternative for a Dalmatian costume when you know it will only be used for one day.

On game, the costume will be completed with black pants, socks and a belt, which is already part of our team’s uniform colors.
Firefighter Halloween Costume Supplies:
- Red T-shirt
- Fire Department Logo SVG
- Fire Department Word SVG
- White Heat Transfer Vinyl
- Firefighter SVG cut file
- HTVront Auto Heat Press 2
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut Basic Tools

To create the firefighter costumes for the coaches, I cut the white firefighter logo for the front pocket and “FIRE DEPT.” design larger for the back of the red t-shirt.

I pressed these onto the shirts using my Auto Heat Press 2.

This was such a fun way to let the coaches stand out in red, while the players wore their Dalmatian whites.
