Right before COVID hit we had enjoyed a fun New Year’s Eve night at the bowling alley with our local friends and had a blast. We haven’t back since so when it came time to plan this year’s summer birthday party, instead of sweating it out in our pool-less backyard we decided to make it a bowling themed party!

As in ALL year’s past, I went the cupcake approach and decided to make them a little cuter with paper crafted cupcake toppers. These were easy to create and here’s how I did it!
Supplies:
- Cricut Maker
- Bowling Cupcake Topper SVG cut file (DOWNLOAD FREE!)
- Cardstock (black, pink, purple, white)
- Kingart glitter gel pens
- Tape
- Toothpicks
- ZIG 2 way glue pen
- 3D foam adhesive squares
I designed these toppers to have one solid color in the back (in this case it’s the black) and two other color pins to layer on top. I made them in pink and purple to match their color scheme but you could easily swap it out for any other colors that fit your bowling alley or theme. The glitter gel pens add the right amount of shimmer to the pins and the bowling ball.
As usual, I made some cupcakes (from a box!) and added these toppers on to make it extra special. When the party isn’t at your home, there’s only so much you can do to make a little more special and creating paper crafted cupcake toppers was my way!
For the girls’ cupcakes I actually made an edited version of these toppers to fit their 6 and 8 bowling pins that match their ages.
See a quick video on how I created these bowling party cupcake toppers!
If you don’t have a Cricut but are still looking for something cute, I also have these printable cupcake toppers with a retro bowling vibe available in pink and purple.

I just tested the link and it still works. It’s a zip file that has to be downloaded first, then unzipped before importing into a cutting program, like cricut design space. Are you able to download it?
