I’m a big fan of giving a themed gift that lasts longer than the one time use.
You may remember that along with 8 other bridesmaids, we gave Allie a Year of Date Nights gift for her bridal shower.
And I gave Melanie 12 months of onesies for my nephew Logan (which we then borrowed for Brielle as you can see above).
This past weekend I gifted another friend a very special year long gift. Jamie, a SOTD Contributor, has shared fun ideas with you, like her mom’s 75th birthday collaboration she designed or her Pet Photography Tips featuring her adorable little pup Pippa. She and her husband are expecting an adorable pink bundle this May!
Since getting the news that she was expecting, I’ve been keeping my eye out for cute outfits after each holiday season that should fit her little one once they get to that time of the year. I wrapped each one up with a little gift tag stating the holiday/season that it will hopefully fit to be worn! (I know all babies are different sizes and some come out or grow faster than others so cross your fingers this works as planned!)
And of COURSE the gift wouldn’t be complete without a poem explaining it! (You know I already love me some poems!)
“In just a few weeks, life will not be the same.
You’ll have a little bundle, of which you’ll give a sweet name.
She’ll need all your love, attention and time.
Feed her, change her, read her a nursery rhyme.
When it’s time to dress her up for that special day,
You’ll now be prepared in a small way!
Open the bag to see the outfit, bib, onesie, or top,
Hairpiece, or dress – no need to shop!
Celebrate all the holidays that come every year
With the fun items that you will find here.”
I turned these holiday tags and coordinating poem into a free printable for your use! To download, click the image above or this link and it should pop up in a new tab to print.
I can’t wait to meet Jamie’s and Mark’s little girl!
BTW: I’m currently working on a “Reader’s Feature” to showcase all the ways in which SOTD readers have used my content in their life! If you use my printable and make your own Year of Holiday Outfits for a little one you know, send me a picture!
UPDATE: I’ve updated the free downloads for this gift as a gender neutral design which you can find here!

I love this idea, not sure I could remember to get all the outfits, so I like the option that you made iron ons! This would make a great Silhouette Cameo Iron on project! Thanks so much for pinning this to the P3 Party Board! You are being featured tomorrow!
