Everyone loves taking those memorable first day of school photos. They’ve all held chalkboards and printable signs so why not make this year’s photos a little brighter! Make that first day of school a little more fun and create a welcome back to school banner to hang for the pictures or to dress up your first day breakfast.
This welcome back banner easily comes together with my FREE SVG CUT FILE, a Cricut (ok or I guess a Silhouette) and colorful cardstock!
I used some foam adhesive squares to raise the pieces and give them a little pop on the pennant style shape. My welcome back banner uses all colors of the rainbow, but you could certainly mix it up to use your school colors!
This is my soon-to-be first grader holding up the banner and rocking her Class of 2033 DIY t-shirt I made her two years ago. It’s traditionally the shirt they wear their last day of school, but it could just as easily be for the first.
