While my girls are not at the age where they have a true “end of the school year” with summer break, they do move to different classrooms in their daycare once they hit certain ages. Just this past month Hailey moved on from the infant room, where she’s been since September and is now in the toddler class. To say thank you to these teachers and assistants who have been helping her grow over the last few months, we put together a simple teacher appreciation apple card, which was hand painted by Hailey herself!

This one was pretty simple as it already used things we had on hand.

Construction paper, finger paint, a glue stick, and card bases are all you really need. I went ahead and used my jumbo circle punch but you could easily trace a mug for a circle shape. I also added a “THANKS” stamp on top of the card front but you could just as well write it!

It started with some good old craft time. I like mixing up the materials my girls used to paint (as you’ve seen us paint with luffas and forks before) but today we went with these fun textured paint brushes.

Hailey was REALLY into this one flower looking one. She likes how the foam bristles felt in her hand and help stamping it down on the page to make that cool flower print.

And like every one of our painting sessions, it ended with paint on our palms for a hand painting mess. (and if you look closely, it’s also all over her face!)

Once dry, I punched out a circle, cut a green leaf, added a stamped “thanks” and glued these together.

These teacher appreciation apple cards were super easy, which was good news since we had 8 of them to make!

She was able to pass them out to the staff members that have come to know and love her these past 8 months.

No matter how old they are, consider having your little one make a teacher appreciation apple card for their teacher this spring! Tag me if you end up making one!
