When it comes to little kids, time can be a hard concept to understand, especially when they’re counting down to something super fun, like a Disney World vacation! Make the concept of time more visual and create a paper chain Disney countdown using a paper plate and these free printables!

We’ve been hiding a big secret from our girls for almost 2 years! We were supposed to go to Disney World only a few days before Covid closed it and the world down. We rescheduled the trip a few times and are finally making the trek down this month. I put together a little surprise for them after school which included this paper plate Disney countdown to be used in the days ahead. It’s a simple craft that I whipped up in minutes and one you can easily use for your big Disney reveal!
Here’s how to make your own Disney countdown:
Supplies:
- Disney Countdown Printables
- 9″ paper plate
- Scissors
- Craft Knife
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
- Ribbon
Cut the Days ’til Disney circle out and glue it on the paper plate. Use a craft knife and cut a slit at the top and bottom of the plate. The top is where you can slip a ribbon through if you want to hang the countdown on a doorknob and the bottom is for the paper chain.
Cut apart the countdown strips and use the glue stick to attach them together to form the paper chain countdown.
