Motivational High Five Board for Ball Players

Coaches and Parents are always looking for ways to get the point across the motivate their players and kids. Consider making a motivational high five board that players can soak in a positive thought before getting up to bat or heading into the field.

Baseball and softball are sports that have plenty of highs and also some lows that can get a player down. When players are young, they’re trying to learn the basic rules of the sport, grow their independent skills and focus a lot on the social aspect of the game. As they continue to grow in the sport, their mindset and confidence to try comes into play. Take a tip from my daughter’s 12u softball coach and try this motivational high five board to keep their head in the game while still having fun!

My daughter’s coach focuses a lot on trying to get these girls in the right mindset and silly reminders like this high five board is one way to do it. And if you think 12 year olds wouldn’t want to slap this board with their batting glove clad hand before their turn at the plate or use their gloved hand before going in the field then you are dead wrong!

This dry erase board is double sided and comes with a clip that attaches to the fence in your dugout. We created this high five board on the blank side but the other side is still useable in normal game play! Cut the vinyl hand out of Oracal 651 permanent vinyl (in case there are any drizzles at a game) and apply it to the bottom area of the board using transfer tape.

Sure the coach can keep yelling the same tips before each at bat or they can use this board to write it and let the kids soak it in before stepping up to the plate.
