Today is Derek’s birthday and the week before was my dad’s, the girls’ Pop Pop! The girls and I worked on handmade cards for them because well dads and grandpas love handmade creations! They began with our beloved Crayola Washable Finger Paints, a foam brush and a paper plate. Mix it up, girl!
She always starts with these painting utensils but prefers another tool
her hands!
She smushed around the paint but then realized how the paint squishes out of the foam brush.
And it made beautiful art!
Next we consulted the art supervisor who said to draw cupcake tops and bottoms on the backs of the dried designs. Got it!
After assembling the cupcake designs on cardstock, she add some more special touches with her crayons. Fact: daddy loves mixed media.
In the end we had two kid made cupcake card creations after a fun art session!
Happy Birthday Daddy!
