Future BFFs

My bestie Allie and her hubby Tim were in New Jersey August 17th for a family wedding and planned to stop by since they were in the area. Either she’d meet our daughter (who was due August 16th) or see a very pregnant me. Unfortunately for Allie, she only got to see an overdue me since our little Brielle didn’t arrive until the 21st.

Like many baby visiting guests, Allie brought a little gift and included a pretty handmade card.  Upon opening it, I read the sweet message but commented that she didn’t sign it. She said “I did” to which I realized there was a little flap inside. I opened it to see this:

AHHHH!!! Allie and Tim were expecting their first child! I was soooo excited! Allie, being the planner and Pinterest lover that she is, brought a frame and we got together to create this shot:

I, of course, am 40+ weeks in this photo when skinny minnie Allie is about 6 weeks. It is a special occasion to capture none the less and I love that we have this! (Much like this shot my sister and I took last March!)

After her first ultrasound, I went ahead and sent her this card as a congrats on her news:

As per Allie’s request, I waited to share this news and anything related to her little one until he was here. Well, get ready for a slew of new baby related posts mixed in my usual content as she recently delivered her handsome boy! :)
