Let’s face it, not ever craft your child creates is worthy of being in the Smithsonian for beautiful art. The news about this Christmas craft is that isn’t meant to be ugly!  This is a great project for your Elf on the Shelf to bring but it can also be done anytime by anyone.

First, download my free printable template. Use it as it or if your child is old enough, they can cut it out. Use it as a template to trace onto construction paper or decorate the white sheet with lots of colorful art supplies.

Next, dig into your craft stash for anything! Literally you can do this with just markers or glue some pom poms on top. The possibilities are endless! Tip: If they want to make more than one, display the ugly sweaters clothesline style and admire all the ugly sweater crafts hanging up for the holidays!

Pair this ugly sweater craft with a little sweet treat! Use a sweater cookie cutter to create a basic shape with cookies or Rice Krispies treats.

Let the kids decorate them with an assortment of candies and icing or create them yourself and go ugly!
