I love doing crafts with my girls, especially the hands on kind. Literally the handprint and footprint crafts are my favorite. It’s fun to tickle them with the paintbrush, they get a kick out of getting involved and the finished piece is a captured moment in time showing their size. This past week we did an easy peasy Easter carrot kids craft to give out for the holiday this weekend.
You’ve seen these types of shots on my pages before as they are some of my favorite. I set up my mini DSLR camera tripod and give Brielle the wireless remote to get us all in one shot.
But you’ll see in a few more pictures below that these photos are not necessarily like others seen on this site.
First, onto the crafting! Paint some piggies with orange paint using a foam brush. It tickles!
Squish it on some construction paper. Love Hailey’s surprised face in these photos. She does a lot of handprint / footprint crafts at school so now she’s really into it!
Paint a palm with green paint.
Press down on the top of the page to make your Easter carrot shape.
And now, onto some new shots for this blog! Hailey has taken over the remote for the first time! Yep, this one-socked child sat and happily pressed the button over and over again while Brielle did her project with me.
I’m literally saying “are you pressing the button Hailey?” here and she’s smiling with excitement and pride. Oh right but then there are no more shots of Brielle’s craft because a 19 month old is easily distracted and she stopped pressing the button haha.
Once they were dry I added a simple “Happy Easter” message on it with crayon and noted their ages.
Sorry for whoever gets the crunched one Hailey is holding here. :)
Tag me if you make a handprint / footprint craft you’d seen on our pages! Here’s the one we made for Easter last year!
Oh and if you’re looking for another easy Easter carrot craft, make these cute napkin sets for the kids table this year! I crafted these up for the Easter party I staged for Birthdayinabox.com!
