It’s time to spruce up your garden and make it easy to find all the vegetables, fruits, and flowers you’re growing in the raised beds. Personalize your DIY Garden Markers using your Cricut and create raise garden beds that are easy to identify and care for this summer growing season!

This spring we decided to go big or go home and expand our backyard vegetable garden with 6 beds for plenty of goodies for this summer. Now that we have the fence and gate installed and the seedlings in the ground, we’re rocking and rolling on our plans to grow our own veggies! We’re starting to see some flowers and buds of plants in action but the temporary labels from our plant kit are all sun faded so we needed an update. I found these fun black garden markers and knew they’ve be great for our garden space!
Supplies for DIY Garden Markers:
- Cricut (I used my Maker but you could easily use an Explore Air 2 for this vinyl project)
- Garden Plant Label (comes in a pack of 30)
- Oracal 651 Permanent Vinyl
- Cricut Basic Tools including weeding hook
- Tweexy Nail Polish Holder (used for weeding)
Cut your garden labels in the Oracal vinyl and carefully weed the shapes. I chose a skinny font and had to pay careful attention to the weeding steps so I didn’t lose any letters. My Tweexy was key in this step as I wore it like a little trash can as I weeded out all the letter inners first before peeling the majority of the vinyl after.
Next, transfer your weeded design the garden markers using transfer tape and the scraper tool.
This pack of garden markers included 30 pieces and we used a little over half. I was happy to have extras in case we change up our mix in a future garden. They have little black signs and sturdy metal prongs so I’m hoping they are long lasting in our garden space.
The girls love being able to show off the garden and now they can easily explain what’s growing in each space!
Just last week we had tacos and used our grand rapids lettuce for the first time!
This weekend some long term rain is expected, which is a bummer for a Memorial Day Weekend, but a great thing for a growing vegetable garden.
