Teachers don’t want more mugs or candles. Ones who have been teaching for years probably have all the framed crayon letters and apple everything. This Christmas, consider helping them to help fill their Christmas tree with a school mascot ornament teacher gift that they will cherish!

I have no doubt that teachers love their students but I highly doubt they want pictures of your kid hung up all over their home or classroom. Every year I give teachers a gift card and try to gift a little something that they might find useful or appreciate.

This year I will be gifting Hailey’s daycare teachers with Target gift cards on these reindeer gift card holders as I love me a pun! And while I’ll be gifting the same for Brielle’s kindergarten teacher, I will be doing it on these cute “All About my Teacher” gift card holders.

I decided to make a school mascot ornament with the help of my new Cricut machine to coordinate with the gift card teacher gift! First, I asked Brielle to write her teacher’s name and a heart and her name. She wrote the “a” backwards on “Mrs. Sack” and I didn’t correct her because it’s oh so cute at this age! Also that heart that looks like a butt? I love it! haha

I traced it in illustrator and was able to easily cut it with Cricut vinyl. (I haven’t done it as I have the Illustrator program but I believe you can easily upload it as a jpg and the Cricut program can help you get this same effect.)

I traced her elementary school’s mascot and cut that out for the other side. I figured that if the teacher had to keep anything that’s personalized, at least it would mean something to her in the school she teaches. Worse case scenario, she only has to see it once a year. :)

I don’t think I’ll be getting sick of my Cricut anytime soon. :)

Already have that school mascot traced? Make the teacher an end of the year gift and add the mascot to a slim can cozy for outdoor summer drinks! Learn more on this post about my last day of school teacher appreciation gift!
