On Black Friday, I began decorating the house for the holidays. I put up my Felt Stocking Advent Calendar I made last year, put out holiday hand towels, the table decorations, the card holder for the Christmas cards headed our way, and of course the tree full of our collected ornaments! But one place didn’t feel very holiday-ish…the front entry way.
I saw this idea on Pinterest and since I already had these red, oversized jingle bells, I decided to wanted to make something similar for this spot.
I went shopping and grabbed a wood dowel and some ribbons from Michaels and got to work.
I strung the jingle bells onto the dowel at different lengths with the ribbons.
Since I didn’t want to make any extra holes in the wall that weren’t already there, I decided to put the dowel under the hanging hooks that would go on the wall and the screws in the wall would hold the dowel in place.
It’s a little more crafty looking than I wanted, but I’m pretty happy with the results to add a little color and holiday cheer to the entryway! Now I must find a few cute things to sit on the table in front of it!
Check out what I did to the mirror a future year.
And again after that!
