But it’s been a while since we played with that fun material and it was time for a new activity for St. Patrick's Day! Supplies: Con-Tact Brand Self-Adhesive Shelf Liner Painting Tape Green and Yellow Tissue Paper Pieces of Green Ribbons (these were left over from our Pinwheel birthday party cookie favors!) I cut a large sheet of the contact paper, peeled the adhesive backing to expose the sticky side and used a decorative painter’s tape I had on hand to attach it sticky side out on our wall. Next, I let Brielle play! Previously I had tore up the tissue paper into tiny pieces, but this time I only did so in big chunks, encouraging her to tear it up into smaller pieces on her own. St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Baby Headband Tutorial

We made plans with Derek's uncle and aunt (shout out Uncle Dave and Aunt Linda) to go to the town parade for St. Patrick's Day. It would be Brielle's first parade and first glimpse if she takes after her mom's hatred of clowns and loud noises. No matter the outcome of that test, she still needed to look cute. I decided to craft her up a special headband accessory for the occasion! Supplies: White Felt - cut into one circle, four hearts and a stem shape. (Side note: I love that a shamrock is made from hearts!) St. Patricks Day Rainbow Kids Crafts {FREE PRINTABLE}

They're becoming more talkative, animated and just over more silly together, which is really fun to be around. I use any holiday or occasion as an excuse to give them some little trinkets and see their eyes light up with curiosity. Recently, I took the opportunity to design a few rainbow themed activities for them in honor of the upcoming rainbow filled day of St. Patrick's Day. I filled cute green organza bags with an assortment of colorful cereal loops, a piece of yarn and some custom printables and watched them get to work! These bags were the perfect size for little hands, allowing me to safely transport their gift, but also allow them to peak inside.
