You may remember back in the beginning of August that my little niece, Brinley, was born just a few short weeks prior to Brielle. Since her parents, Frank and Lauren, were Team Green (aka they didn’t know what they were having), they went the gender neutral route and prepped the baby nursery in soft greens, creams and browns.
After she was here, they finished the look with hints of the beach, a favorite destination of her parents and I’m sure Brinley in the future!
Prior to it being a nursery, this room was their upstairs exercise room holding a treadmill and elliptical machine. To bring in that beach house/nursery feel, Frank added wainscoting around the perimeter walls and painted them a light cream color.
Large sea turtle, starfish and seashell wall vinyl designs completed the soft hints of the beach.
The room was then personalized with the custom pillow with her name (located in the crib), mini canvases from her newborn photo shoot
and a personalized pink elephant they received as a gift.
Lauren tells me that the Good Night Our World series of books is Brinley’s favorite collection and Lullaby And Good Night is a must read before bed. All these must reads are stored in a wicker basket near their comfy plush glider.
I’m sure Brinley has many sweet dreams in this calming place! :)
