Followers may know that I’m working to continue my annual reading challenge to read 45 books. (you can see the favorites I’d recommend from last year here and the year before here!). My youngest is also a big reader so when I got to play with some heat transfer vinyl sheets, I knew I had to design something with a book theme. Hence my new cozy Book Lover Sweatshirt!
Book Lover Sweatshirt Supplies:
- Pink Hanes Crewneck
- Siser Diamond Dust Heat Transfer Vinyl – Blue Raspberry, Pastel Lilac, Pink Salt
- Book Lover SVG Cut File
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut Brayer
- Cricut Weeding Hook
- EasyPress
Siser graciously gifted me 3 sheets of new colors offered in their Diamond Dust line of heat transfer vinyl. They’re more shimmer than glitter, but still provide some sparkle when adding it to your wearable designs. This shimmering HTV is composed of ultra-fine glitter flakes that has a slightly textured feel when touched.
This Book Lover design works great with two colors. For my pink sweatshirt I used the Blue Raspberry and Pastel Lilac colors. Like all the Siser vinyl I’ve used, this HTV cuts easily on my Cricut Maker and weeds beautifully!
I’ve typically more of a hoodie wearer than a crewneck sweatshirt wearer but this one is soft and comfy, perfect for the recent 9 degree weather days we’ve been having here in NJ!
This design works perfect for adults or kids alike so I made one for my youngest who is also a bookworm like her mama!
Please tag me if you end up making one of these Book Lover shirts for you or your book club members!
