The makers of the Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card slapping game that we love, generously sent our family a fun PR package that included 3 new card games and a ridiculously large version of the original favorite. We LOVE card games in this house and were so happy to receive and review these new styles from Dolphin Hat Games for a fun family game night.

Dolphin Hat Games isn’t a new company in the realm of fun family game night. We enjoyed their Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card slapping game for years. We love that it’s a mix of slapping but also acting with certain key cards that require an action. We recently stepped into the Christmas version called Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman with seasonally friendly actions for the holiday.
Let’s take a look inside this fun PR package of new card games!
Jelly Fish Toast and Jam – Great for Age 7+, 2 – 6 players, 10 minute play
This is an adorable game where players try to find a set of 3 by drawing, stealing and covering cards. This is a quick, but additive game that my 10 and 12 year olds loved.
Not only is the game itself fun and easy to play but the characters on the cards are adorably cute and full of puns, which fit into the jelly, fish, toast and jam categories.
Bing! Bang! Boom! – Great for Age 7+, 2 – 6 Players, 10 min play
The tagline for this game is that it’s Like Musical Chairs but with cards! This is a great quick game for beginning card player who are learning how to match and how to do it with speed. Rounds are quick, but it’s easy to recover and want to continue playing more.
The designs of this set all look like fireworks hence the bing, bang, boom naming.
I Know… You Don’t – Age 10+, 3 – 7 Players, 10 Minute Play
This is a strategy play game suggested for kids 10 and up where players take turn placing a card to try and crack the code. This game requires at least 3 players as someone is the ruler keeper for the round and you’ll definitely be playing more than one round because everyone will want to be in charge!
Rules range from basic to hard and I’ll tell you some of the hard rounds even stump us adults!
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza (Ridiculously Large Version) – Age 7+, 2 – 8 Players, 10 Minute Play
As I shared above, we were already big fans of this game but it’s even more fun when Extra Large sized! Each player takes turns to put down card, stating one word of the “Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza” naming. If your card matches the phrase you can slap and grab the cards, trying to collect the most. There are a few surprise action cards that require you to act something out. This is a fun game for adults and kids alike.
This extra large version just makes for some more giggles than normal while little hands try to place them in the pile.
As a mom, I have to happy see that these card games now come in sturdy boxes that you can use for storage after purchase and don’t be falling apart any time soon. They’re easy to grab and throw in a bag for a sideline siblings, as a road trip accessory to play in a hotel room, add to the Easter basket, the Christmas stockings, or as birthday gifts for friends ages 7 and up.
