Typically, when it comes to cardmaking, I’m usually all about using the scraps of papers that have already been used for other things. I hardly ever use a full, new sheet, as those are usually saved for my scrapbook pages.
Sometimes, however, cute patterned papers make their way into my stash that are just not my style for my scrapbook papers. Exhibit A:
This Martha Stewart Crafts Paper Pad includes a lot of my favorite types of patterned papers: stripes and dots. But it also includes lots of other papers that aren’t my typical style, like graphic style birds, ladybugs and flowers. I use these opportunities to kill 2 birds with one stone: add to my hoard of handmade cards and “get rid” of a patterned paper I might not otherwise use in scrapbooking… aka use my stash!
With just one sheet and a few random stickers from the pack, I now have 4 more cards for my collection!
